Hapag Lloyd uses the container depot of baymodal Bamberg
Faster availability of empty containers in Upper Franconia
Hapag Lloyd goes bayernhafen Bamberg:
Since the beginning of August, one of the worldwide biggest container shipping company offers regional companies the chance to order and give back flexibly empty containers. That means faster und shorter pre- and onward-carriage for the Upper Franconian industry.
A solide basis of 40‘ containers is already in the bayernhafen depot. After a few days, the first Hapag Lloyd export containers were booked over Bamberg. Five times a week, the train system of the operator TFG Transfracht called “AlbatrosExpress” connects Bamberg with the the German seaports Bremerhaven und Hamburg.
Besides Hanjin und MOL, Hapag Lloyd is now the third international shipping company using the depot of baymodal Bamberg as puffer and for the disposition of its container traffic.
